Kid's DIY Workshop @ Home Depot
Kids Workshops provide a mix of skill-building, creativity, and safety for future DIYers every month in Home Depot stores across the country. After registering for the next Workshop, download these exclusive extension activities from Discovery Education. Each extension provides opportunities to reimagine or use their Workshop creation in an unexpected new way.
Free Home Depot Kids kits are available the first Saturday of the month for completion in-store.
Home Depot offers free Kids Workshops on the first Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., designed for children aged 5–12. These hands-on sessions provide a fun opportunity for kids to build a wooden project, with all materials and tools supplied by Home Depot. Participants also receive a free certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin upon completion.

Lowe's offers free monthly DIY-U Kids' Workshops, providing children aged 4 and up with hands-on building experiences. These in-store workshops are typically held on one Saturday each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with multiple sessions available:

- 11:00 a.m. – 11:40 a.m.
- 11:45 a.m. – 12:25 p.m.
- 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
