It is back.... after a few years off we are ready to start up this Belfair holiday tradition of parade and tree lighting.
This years theme is "A Candy land Christmas" so get in the spirit and decorate your business, home and Christmas parade float in all things sweet and yummy.
The parade festivities will start at Burger Claim at 11 am with pictures with Mr and Mrs Claus and hot cocoa and candy canes.
At 3 pm the Parade starts and will travel from the corner of Roy Boad Road and Old Clifton to the four way stop and make a left onto State Route 300 from there it will travel to the Ace Scott Mclendons Hardware parking lot and come into the parking lot to the stage.
At 4:15 pm the local Belfair Elementary School and Sandhill Elementary will lead the community in Christmas Carols. A short program will follow and the Sock Champion will be crowned. This will be the school that collects the most winter warmth items for the NM Giving Tree. the Community appreciation award will be awarded to a member of the community in the education field that has went above and beyond in the last few years during the pandemic. This award will be presented by the NM Chamber of Commerce.
At 5 pm a NM Fire Truck will arrive and with Santa straight from the North Pole to light the Belfair Christmas Tree provided by the NM Kiwanis.
The parade can be best enjoyed along the road from Old Clifton and Roy Boad intersection , State Route 300 in front of QFC and Sandi's Deli Mart or from the Ace parking lot.
Traffic will be impacted as the parade route will be closed from 3-4 pm. Please plan on taking alternate routes if traveling to North Shore. The HUB Center for Seniors can be used for overflow parking if you would like to walk down to enjoy the parade and festivities.
The parade is seeking volunteers to help decorate, coordinate, traffic control, and a host of other needs if interested please message us.
