Description
The Gig Harbor Paddlers Cup is the premier event for Pacific Northwest paddle enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Organized by the Gig Harbor Canoe and Kayak Racing Team, this annual community event features paddle racing for kayaks, canoes, stand up and prone paddleboards, outriggers, para-canoes, and dragon boats.
Join us on April 26 and 27, 2025 at historic Skansie Brothers Park and Ancich Park in downtown Gig Harbor.
The weekend features Inner Harbor Races, Dragon Boat Races, and Exhibition SUP Technical Races, with racing for paddlers of all ages and experience levels.
Vendors will be located on the shore in Skansie Brother Park.

Day 1:
- Inner Harbor Races are open to youth and adult canoe, kayak, outrigger canoe, para-canoe, and SUP paddlers of any experience level.
Day 2 (morning):
- NEW Exhibition SUP Technical Course
- Ancich Waterfront Park OPEN HOUSE - Free tours of the park and informational booths from local nonprofits and community organizations from 8 am-1 pm.
Day 2 (all day):
- Dragon Boat Races - Fast, furious, and fun!
- Awaken the Dragon Ceremony 12:15 pm - Watch this traditional ceremony to kick off the race and honors the dragon and paddlers
- Cancer Survivor Tribute 12:25 pm – the link between our sport and cancer
- Cancer Survivor & Caregivers Ceremony 2:50 pm
- Championship Round 3:05 pm
- Awards and Festival Closing 3:30 pm
