Description
The Salmon Center’s food & nutrition program is coming to the HUB! We will be hosting two workshops geared towards families in which participants will learn the importance of healthy eating, how our eating habits can benefit the environment, and simple methods for growing food at home. Families are welcome to attend either one or both of the workshops. In this hands-on nutrition workshop, families will learn strategies for starting a garden in the face of limited time and space, as well as the nutritional benefits of homegrown produce and sustainability of local food. Working together, parents and kids will explore a worm bin composting system and plant herb seeds that they will get to continue caring for at home!
