Get ready for a burst of color and creativity! The Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance presents an expanded "Chalk the Harbor: Celebrating Art & Community" a free, family-friendly community event where the waterfront
transforms into a vibrant art gallery. On Saturday, August 16th, 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm, artists of all ages and abilities will converge on Gig Harbor's waterfront business district to create stunning chalk masterpieces.
This year's event promises an even more immersive experience, with:
● Chalk Art Contest: Register on the day of the event (9 am - 12 pm) at Skansie Brothers
Park or Donkey Creek Park and compete in categories for youth, teens, families, adults,
and groups. Free chalk is provided! Artwork submission is due online by 3 pm.
● Live Art Demonstrations: Watch professional artists create breathtaking works of art
right before your eyes.
● Local Artist Showcases: Discover and appreciate the talent of Gig Harbor's local art
community.
● Hands-on Art Opportunities: Get creative yourself! Enjoy interactive art stations and
express your artistic side.
● Music and Performance Art: Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live music and
captivating performances throughout the day.
