- Do you love reading Macaroni Kid?

If you answered yes to any of the above, Macaroni Kid Gig Harbor and Macaroni Kid Tacoma wants you! We are looking to expand our editorial selection and to build a team of contributing writers... and we want you to be a part of it! 

Guest writers may submit an article on any topic of their choosing, geared toward an audience of families with children. Local content must refer to places within Gig Harbor, Fox Island, Key Peninsula, or within a day trip of Pierce County. Ideal article length is between 3-5 paragraphs; lists are great too! 

Aside from potentially having their writing published on our website and e-newsletter, from time to time, our regular contributors may be asked to participate in specific writing assignments which may include product, venue, restaurant or event reviews and will be provided complimentary tickets, items or admission for the purpose of such a review. 

Contributors will periodically be given various perks for articles that are chosen for publishing. Submission does not guarantee publishing and timing will depend on our editorial calendar. Contributors that own or run their own small business please let us know and instead of perks we can discuss allowing you to include a link to your site in the footer.

Advertising - Any articles submitted by or about a business do not qualify as part of the free guest writing program.   If you choose to submit an article by or about a business there is a nominal advertising fee per week published. 

To submit your article, email the content along with title and byline, to annmariem@macaronikid.com. A photo or graphic to go with the article is greatly appreciated and greatly increase the chances of the article being published; any images submitted must be able to be shared without risk of copyright infringement. 

Macaroni Kid Gig Harbor Macaroni Kid reserves the right to choose as many or few articles to fill our content needs. We cannot guarantee perks. We reserve the right to modify the terms of, or cancel, the guest writer program for any reason at any time. Articles published become the property of Macaroni Kid Gig Harbor Macaroni Kid and may not be republished in any competing publication. By submitting your photos, you are giving permission for Macaroni Kid Gig Harbor Macaroni Kid to post them on Facebook and to use the images on our website and other social media channels for the purpose of this promotion or any future Macaroni Kid marketing and you release Macaroni Kid from any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality, credits or royalty payments associated with the images.
