The Gig Harbor Horse Club at Canterwood is excited about the new adventure they are on! They are offering horse familiarization lessons in 4 week intervals either on Mondays or Wednesdays at 4 pm. The first week is a matter of introduction. Kids are coming from around the area, different schools, etc and they will get to know each other as well as the basics of horse breeds, care and feeding. The second week they move on to basic horse handling and grooming. The third week the goal is to get everyone up on a horse for a bit and the last week is more learning and a parent presentation of what the kids learned.
