At Gig Harbor Macaroni KID, we love celebrating families—and now we’re turning the spotlight on the real stars of the show… THE KIDS!
Starting this month, we’re launching our brand-new Kid of the Month series, where we’ll feature one incredible local kid who’s making a difference, overcoming challenges, spreading kindness, or simply being awesome.
👏 Who Can Be Nominated?
Any kid ages 3–17 who lives in our community! Whether they:
- Help their siblings without being asked
- Raised money for a good cause
- Are working hard in school
- Show kindness every day
- Or just deserve a little extra recognition…
We want to hear their story!
📬 How It Works:
- Nominations are open from the 1st to the 15th of each month
- We’ll choose one kid to be featured on our website, in our newsletter, and across our social media
- They’ll also receive a special prize or treat—thanks to a local sponsor!
- Each featured kid gets to answer a few fun questions and share their favorite things, dreams, or accomplishments

🗓 How Our Kid of the Month Works Each Month
We’re celebrating one amazing local kid every month—and we want YOU to be part of it! Here’s how the timeline works:
✅ 1st–15th: Nominations Open
Know a kid who deserves some love and recognition?
👉 Nominate them using the link in the comments or on our website.
You can even nominate yourself—we love that!
💌 16th–18th: We Select the Winner
We read every submission and choose one inspiring kid to feature.
We’ll contact them to confirm and gather a short Q&A and photo.
✍️ 19th–24th: Behind the Scenes
We write the article, create graphics, and prepare the feature.
Our featured kid also receives a special local gift—thanks to our awesome sponsor!
🌟 25th–End of Month: Kid of the Month is Published!
Their story is published on our website, in our newsletter, and on social media.
