What is Basket Brigade? It is a project that occurs yearly. Folks (and businesses) of the community generously donate money, food and time to put together a box of food for needy families. Baskets with food are delivered to families in need for Thanksgiving.
Give Thanks and Share Your Blessings by:
- Donating food; boxed and canned goods, baby food & formula.
- Volunteering time to help families in need.
- Give monetary donation to help with basket preparation and delivery.
All baskets carry the following message:
“This basket comes to you from someone who cares about you. All we ask is that you take care of yourself well enough to do this for someone else someday.”
Thanks to the help in 2015 we helped deliver 1305 Basket that fed 4729 folks some cats and dogs too, with 450 the help of volunteers . WOW! You guys and gals are AWESOME!!!!So start spreading the News.What to do Now -
1.Start collecting food and money to buy food. You can go on the website under Donate Food tab and see what is still needed and what we already have coming in now. www.gigharborbasketbrigade.com
2. Let me know if you know of someone that needs a basket.
3. If you want to help decorate boxes we now have them available. Call me and I'll deliver them to you.(i.e Girl scout and boy scout troops, your kids or grandkids, or you!)
