Music Classes for Preschoolers, Toddlers & Babies

By Sherri Shull September 24, 2016

Shari Shull will offer Music Classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, birth – 5 years old this fall.  Shari has been certified and licensed to teach the Musikgarten curriculum, Family Music for Babies and Toddlers and The Cycle of Seasons for Preschoolers.  Shari has served for almost ten years as Minister of Music at Agnus Dei Lutheran Church on Peacock Hill where the classes are held.

The Cycle of Seasons for preschoolers is a musical celebration of the four seasons using activities that build on a child’s growing independence and competencies.  It nurtures children’s ability to use language and capitalizes on their delight in dramatic play within a musical context.  Weekly Music Classes offer a special bonding time for a child and parent or caregiver.  Two 12-week semesters begin the week of Sept 19.

Family Music for Babies and Toddlers offers adults the opportunity to bond and play with their little ones in a musical setting while experiencing music and movement activities designed to delight the child.  Two 10-week semesters begin the week of Sept 26.

The Musikgarten philosophy stresses that when music and movement are a natural, joyous part of childhood, children benefit greatly in many areas of life.  As a child learns to sing and play music, other areas of development – creativity, family bonding, self-esteem, confidence, and emotional development – are also positively impacted.  Join a Musikgarten class today!  Come for the fun, stay for the education!
